Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.
(To do this, go to “notes” under tabs on your profile page, paste these instructions in the body of the note, type your 25 random things, tag 25 people, then click publish.).
1. Put your Faith and Trust in God and you can't go wrong!
2. I LOVE COFFEE - Starbucks is my favorite choice of drink.
3. I love to shop (mostly window shopping and/or online shopping), but I rarely buy anything.
4. I have the BEST grandbabies in the whole world.
5. My Dream: Open my own retail store - Prim 'n Purdy.
6. I am a COUNTRY GIRL at heart.
7. I could listen Toby Keith's "God Loved Her" song over and over again. After all, I married a "bad boy" too.
8. Reading is one of my favorite things to do - mostly inspirational, but also books that help with my business building. Karen Kingsbury is one of my favorite authors.
9. I love my Husband and want to grow old with him (okay, older - LOL!). He is my BEST friend and everyday I love him more than the day before (something I never really thought was possible).
10. I love helping others and believe in women and their causes. I support Go Red for Women, Breast Cancer Awareness, Ovarian Cancer Awareness, March of Dimes, Autism and so many others.
11. I have been a sahm for over 20 years - can you believe it? I also homeschool our youngest daughter who is special needs.
12. Everything happens for a reason...
13. I am a "Type A" personality and I have a hard time letting go and delegating to others. I like to be in control...yes, I admit it!
14. I never thought I would get married...sometimes, it's hard to believe that I have been married for 24+ years.
15. I drive my Dream SUV - Nelli. She is a Black GMC Yukon Denali XL, but if I had a Dream Car, it would be a Cadillac; truck would be a Ford.
16. I like listening to Country Music.
17. I prefer text messages or email over talking on the phone. BUT I do like my Bluetooth so that I can work while talking (if I have to - LOL!).
18. I really wish Jenn would have "tagged" me with something that didn't require 25 random thoughts....
19. I always wanted to retire in Galena, but I would settle for moving back to Woodstock someday.
20. I am an animal lover. I always wanted to live on 10+ acres, but it's probably a good thing that I don't (I would need a rescue license).
21. I love crafting and creating new items...crocheting, sewing, making candles and personal care products...you name it!
22. My Motto: Dream...Believe...Achieve!
23. I love the country primitive decor.
24. I prefer outside activities - hiking, biking, running, walking, camping.
25. I am a strong Christian woman who believes in God, the power of prayer and miracles. Walk with God (along His path) and you can't go wrong!

Out of the Mouths of Babes
Yesterday I had the wonderful opportunity to spend time with two of my grandchildren. It began early in the morning with my youngest daughter, myself and the two little ones. Our adventure today will consist of me, my youngest daughter, Mad (who is 11 y old and homeschooled), oldest granddaughter, K (who is 3 y old) and Baby L (who is just a little over one year old and quite the little stinker).
For all you grandparents out there, you know that when you are watching the little ones, it is very hard to stay with your schedule so you just "go with the flow". After getting everything settled down, I spent some time playing with Baby L. We were playing with the piano and reading a few books. At this time, K and Mad were watching a DVD and playing with kitchen stuff. Then came that wonderful question, "Mamaw, can you help me?" I'm thinking, hmm, what do they need from me as I head into the playroom. The next couple of hours are spent playing Barbies. Technically, of course, I don't get to play, as I am too busy dressing and undressing the dolls, looking for the right accessory (as I am told "No, that doesn't match", "No, not those shoes" - you get the idea).
Finally, it is lunchtime. Knowing how picky my oldest granddaughter (K) is, I call her into the kitchen to consult on a lunch program. After narrowing down the choice to Ravoli's, I call my youngest daughter (Mad) into the kitchen to complete the consultation. All are satisfied with my choice - YIPPEE! Lunch is going to be an easier than originally considered. Lunch consists of Ravoli's (which all three of them ate with gusto), Dorito's (is there really any other chip, according to these youngsters??) and juice.
Now naptime for the Baby (L), this can be a chore all by itself because she tends to cry herself to sleep (which drives me crazy - worked for my kids, but NOT my grandbabies - LOL!). Naptime accomplished with no tears!! Now Mamaw (me) can try to eat lunch, get a few chores out the way (quietly, I might add - do NOT want to wake the Baby), and maybe (this is a BIG maybe) get a little bit of work out of the way.
Naptime is over, diaper changed and the Baby wants to play with the big kids, who have decided to make a fort/club house, sounds like a plan. I decide this would be a good time to try and fold a load of laundry. All is quiet, which as all parents know, this can be a good thing or it can be a bad thing. Maybe I'd better go check things out and then finish the laundry. As I walk in the playroom, I see Baby L climbing - she has lined up the stool to the chair and is now going to climb on the table - NOT on my watch. So as I take her off the chair, I tell her (as I remember my mom telling me and as I told my own children) if you're not careful, you're going to fall off (the chair or table) and break your arm or crack your head open and Mamaw is NOT rushing to the emergency room today so "NO CLIMBING!!"
Find a new activity, we've decided to become Rock Stars and play our musical instruments (even though some of us pretend to have an instrument), dance and crank out the tunes. Things have settled down now (still haven't finished folding that load of laundry - LOL!) and we are all going to watch Hannah Montana (my favorite show - rolling my eyes). Baby L and I are still rocking to the music and in the room comes K and Mad. K tells me that she is going to break my arm - WHAT???!! Where did you hear that? Mamaw that is what you said to Baby L, huh? No, sweetie, if she falls, she will break her arm or crack her head open - remember telephone tag??!!
To make this story short, since you've already read my book for the day, after a long day, basketball practice (for our youngest daughter is over), we go out for dinner and I tell my kids the story. (Laugh!) Kids go home with mommy and daddy and all is well, at least I think it is!
TODAY: Bright and early, I get this text message from my daughter in law: (this is the exact text message) K said that she almost spoke (broke) her arm and cut her head off (cracked her head open) cuz she just almost fell off the chair! Thanks Mamaw!
I am laughing so hard that I can hardly text message back. Lesson learned: Be careful what you tell your grandbabies....you never know how that telephone tag will come back to you!

Working Out - Updating Music
For those of you who work out on a consistent basis, you know that sometimes we need to change up the tempo. I really need to update my iPod and I'm looking to some of you for help. I am a runner with a short warm-up/cool down interval. I tend to walk at 4.4 - 4.6 mph and run at 5.0 - 5.5 (for now, goal is 6.0 mph).
I have mostly 80's music on my iPod for working out right now with a couple of upbeat country songs like SugarLand - Down in Mississippi.
Any recommendations? What is your favorite workout tune?
I look forward to your comments.

More Than a Minivan...Meet Nelli!!!
Everyone wants to know "Who's Nelli?" Here's my story....I have been driving a minivan for so many years that I was forgot what else is out there. I have always wanted a Yukon Denali (well for the last 2 years anyways). So one day last Spring, we went looking for a Yukon Denali. We were originally looking at a red Yukon Denali, but didn't really like it. My favorite color in trucks is BLACK so...
There sitting two cars down from the red one was a BLACK Yukon Denali XL - fully loaded. It has everything - Navigation, Heated Lumbar Seats, XM Radio, Power Sunroof, DVD entertainment system (we need something to occupy the tween when we are traveling) and so much more! Same price as the red one...hmm didn't take much to convince us to purchase this one.
Later that night, we were talking and hubby wanted to know what I was going to call it. After all, it's not a minivan, or a car, or a truck...so what to call it? SUV just seems like such a long name. I decided to call her "Nelli" - so much better than saying - go get in the vehicle or that thing in the driveway :-)!
So Meet NELLI....
